Trans-Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba today joined thousands of mourners to send off women rights activist and politician Jenepher Chepkwemoi Masis at her home in Taito Cherangany sub-county.

Addressing the mourners the governor eulogized late Masis as a fighter who championed for the rights of women youths and girl child rights tirelessly and among those who fought for the third gender rule in both county and the national governments.

Khaemba called on researchers to empress their findings on real causes of cancer in the country due to the increased deaths resulting from the disease, adding that the proposed county referral hospital will help contain such cases on completion.

Present were CORD co-principals former VP Kalonzo Musyoka, F.K party leader and Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula, Senators Henry Ole Ndiema, Johnston muthama and Mps Dr. Chris Wamalwa, David Wafula, Samuel Moroto and Janet Nangabo among other leaders.
