Pursuant to Section 108 of the County Governments Act, 2012, the County Government of Trans Nzoia is in the process of preparing the 2nd Generation County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) 2018-2022 that will contain all the county’s proposed development priorities for the next five year period. APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP OF TRANS NZOIA COUNTY BUDGET AND ECONOMIC FORUM (10 POSITIONS)
The Public Finance Management Act 2012 section 137(1) requires the Counties to constitute the County Budget and Economic Forum (CBEF).The County Government of Trans Nzoia is in the process of forming the Trans Nzoia County Budget and Economic Forum (TNCBEF) which will, among other things, provide means for consultation by the County Government on matters Financial and Economic Management. EXTENSION OF 100% WAIVER PERIOD FROM JANUARY 15TH 2018 TO 31ST JANUARY 2018 ON ALL INTEREST AND PENALTIES ON LAND RATES
The County government of Trans Nzoia with the approval of H.E. the Governor and in Pursuant to Section 159 of Public Finance Management Act 2012 and the Rating Act Cap 267, hereby gives NOTICE to all rate payers that the period of 100% on the occurred interest and penalties on all outstanding rates payments have been EXTENDED FROM JANUARY 15TH 2018 to JANUARY 31ST 2018 on condition that the rate payers clears the principal rates in full within the period specified.
The rate payers should make direct deposits to TRANS NZOIA REVENUE ACCOUNT AT EQUITY BANK-KITALE BRANCH ACCOUNT NO: 0330260729452 upon being served with tax invoice from the Revenue office at MEA building. NO cash payments will be accepted at the county.
Any rates remaining unpaid after stipulated waiver will revert to the original principal amount plus interest and penalties and the County Government of Trans Nzoia will cause a written demand to be made upon such person to pay within fourteen (14) days.
The County Government will thereafter take legal measures to recover the payment of such rates, interests and penalties in the manner prescribed by law.
