H.E George Natembeya , Governor- Trans Nzoia County

Governor George Natembeya, the former Regional Commissioner of Rift Valley, has a robust administrative background, notably addressing challenges like armed attacks and ethnic conflicts during his tenure. Despite controversies, his assertive leadership style prevailed. 

He holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Nairobi. In a recent InfoTrak survey, he emerged as a top-performing governor with a 70 percent rating. His career began as a Personal Assistant, progressing through roles like District Commissioner and County Commissioner, displaying efficacy in handling complex issues. Natembeya resigned in January 2022 to comply with the Elections Act.
